Kristi Muro, LCSW, RPT-S

Sees clients in these States: Oregon (in-person & virtual)

Email: kristi@counseling4kidscorvallis.com

Telephone #: 541-224-3109 (voice only)

Kristi is a parent coach, trainer, consultant and clinical social worker. But her best, and hardest, job is mom. She loves to geek out about the brain and nervous system and how that impacts behaviors, which then impacts relationships. She finds joy in sharing this information and applying it to coaching parents and consulting in schools, to her own parenting, and ultimately, to herself. When we see the underlying reason for behaviors, the behavior usually then makes sense and we can also sometimes find some grace. Kristi aims to share tools that are specific to each child and each parent’s personality and parenting style. When parents know the basic science, and have at least some initial tools, that can serve them and their child for a lifetime.
Also, Kristi really likes to support parenting partners. So often parents are in the midst of their own parenting battle: “You’re too strict!” “You’re a pushover, too soft.” Time and again, Kristi finds that the right parenting approach is somewhere in the middle of these two seemingly conflicting styles. She aims to reduce the conflict about parenting and help parents parent from the same chapter, maybe not the same page. This allows for each person to parent in a way that feels authentic to them individually.
