Improving Treatment Outcomes Using a Brain-Based Approach
Sponsoring Organization: Ingham ISD
Date: March 14, 2023
Time: 12pm – 3:30pm
Location: Lansing, MI
Description: Research emerging from Relational Neuroscience, including polyvagal theory, regulation theory, and the neurosequential model of development, has shifted our understanding of how the brain grows and heals. When parents, caregivers, and child development professionals are armed with the latest science in brain development, they increase their capacity for connecting with children in a way that promotes positive growth and development of their relational, social, and behavioral brain.
This training will briefly summarize the latest research from relational neuroscience and then move into practical interventions that will help caregivers connect with their children while promoting attachment, regulation, and stress resilience- all while working toward their child’s treatment plan goals. Attendees will leave with the tools they need to help parents prioritize playful engagement and connection, especially with children with challenging behaviors and developmental delays.
Registration Information: This is a private training for Ingham ISD Early On providers. If you are interested in scheduling a similar training for your organization, contact Robyn’s team at hello@robyngobbel.com
