A Brain-Based Approach to Caring for Kids with Vulnerable Nervous Systems and Big, Baffling Behaviors
Sponsoring Organization: Roots of Inclusion
Date: February 28th, March 13, 20, 27th, 2024
Time: 4-6pm PST (7-9pm EST)
Location: Virtual
Description: Caring for kids who have experienced trauma (or have otherwise vulnerable nervous systems) is overwhelming and confusing. The baffling behaviors you are facing- lying, stealing, manipulation, being spaced-out and in la-la land, come from a vulnerable nervous system that needs support with co-regulation, connection, and felt-safety. This day-long workshop will help you put on your ‘x-ray vision goggles’ to look past behavior and see what’s actually causing the behavior. At the end of this four-part series, you’ll have a toolbox full of tools that really work so you can stop playing behavior whack-a-mole. Participants will learn an easy-to-understand model of addressing baffling behaviors based on Robyn’s owl, watchdog, and possum brain.
Registration Information: This is a private training for Roots of Inclusion. If you are interested in scheduling a similar training for your organization, contact Robyn’s team at hello@robyngobbel.com
